Daddy Daughter Dance

Mike did such an awesome daddy thing. He took Hailey to a local high school's ''Annual Daddy Daughter Dance." Since I wasn't allowed to attend (only dad's) I am going to try to explain the evening the best I can. Mike might edit this entry later if I forgot something.

Mike wanted this day to be very special for Hailey. So he started this evening out but helping his little princess get dress for her ball. She wanted to dress up as Snow White. She looked adorable.
As I helped get her hair done he ran out to the store and got her a single pink rose. When he came back he rang the door bell like he was picking up his date. And she opened it and was surprised to see him there with a flower just for her. She loved it! I made her a corsage. We would of brought one but they cost like $20 so I googled how to make one then headed to Michael's. We made this one for about $2 bucks. Yeah for saving money. She was so excited to go to her dance even though it wasn't for another 45 minutes and the school is about 20 minutes away that I tried to stall by taking some pictures. Here's the only one that she is actually smiling.

Hailey was so excited that she fell asleep on the way to the high school. But she's smart-she's refueling her energy so she can dance the night away. Here's a picture of Mike and Hailey in front of soda machines. We have no clue why she likes to pose sad in pictures..... but that's we got... so that's what we'll post. Here's the two of them dancing. It was really packed and dark in the gym so the pictures are a little dark. But you can still see them. Mike says that the DJ played everything from the Chicken Dance to Nat King Cole. And every dance she wanted to dance. He held her, spun her, dipped her, etc. Good thing he took that dance class prior to this ;-)Hailey made a friend and ditched her date for a little bit.
Poor dad :-( But he was able to grab her back and continue their date.Another sad picture from Hailey. But it's still a cute daddy daughter picture. At the dance there was a spot that you can pay to get your photos done. Since they waited to the very end to get their pictures done their photos weren't printed by the time the dance ended. So Mike and his quick thinking he asked the photographer to snap a few pictures of him and Hay. But we still need to go back to the high school and pick up the the pictures. Hopefully they turned out better so I can scan them and post them. But you can kinda see Hailey and Mike smiling/yelling in the picture above.
When the dance was over and he dropped his date off (which he was an hour late from her 8pm curfew but dad's can get away with that) she was crying cuz she didn't want the night to end. She had so much fun that I can't even explain it. I'm glad they did this together because for this one night she truly felt like daddy's little princess.
