More important than money

I worked 5 weeks of doubles. I slept as much as I could; which still didn't feel like I had enough.
But I got to the point where I was missing my family especially Mike so much I would cry while driving into and from work.
So after talking to my lead I told her I quit doing doubles and I'm going back to my regular 4 hour shifts.
So on my last day of doubles I must if smiled the entire 8 hours of my shift. I waved goodbye to everyone I met who only worked the first shift and drive home as fast as I could.
To celebrate Mike and I went on a date.
This rarely happened since all I wanted to do was sleep. It's nice to be able to bind again with him and not fall asleep.
I've missed him so much. And during this ordeal I've learned that money does bring small freedoms but it doesn't bring happiness. And I love him too much to allow anything come between us.

Temple Square

One of my girls favorite places in Utah is Temple Square.
They talk about it all the time.
So one day after Mason and Hailey went to their other dad's house I took them to their favorite place to look at all the gorgeous flowers.
They must of smelt every flower. Lily asked the church gardeners how many flower were on temple square. He smiled and said tons. But no one knows exactly how many.
Lily walks back to me and tells me what he said then adds," God knows how many." A smile just formed on me.

Anyways we waited for mike to get off work to join in on the fun. So while we waited a little longer they wanted to see the shiny chandelier (it's at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building)
They wanted to see the waterfalls near the temple.
They of course had another adorable moment. Lily seen a piece of gum in the waterfall and she says outloud," oh no! daddy is going to have to clean that up. Messy people!"

As pictures above Lily and Cati loved these little temple square maps that two sister missionaries gave them so they posed with them at every opportunity.

Now that mike was off work we went to visit the "Big Jesus". (The Christus)
These girls were running the statues feet trying to feel the holes on his toes.
I love that they love Christ as much as I do.
It brings me much joy knowing they love and feel comfortable surrounding themselves around God.

Sisters underneath the tree

Hailey and Lily are completely different in every way. This can cause some major riots in our house. World war 3 actually but then there are moments like this where they just stop and enjoy eachother. Coloring under our tree talking about whatever comes to mind. I'm so thankful for moments like this that give me hope and comfort that they will make it as sisters and friends.

Amazing Lily

Lily being her amazing self.
This girl has truly changed my life. She changed me. She's changed how I see the world.
Looking through her eyes I can see so much more potential everywhere.

Ducati's Selfies

I can't have one without the other. Ducati and Lily very, very seldomly stray away from eachother. They like the same clothes. The same shows. The same foods. The same colors. So it's not surprising to find tons of selfies from Ducati on my phone.
And of course I want to keep them to remember how animated she is. She's just like her dad.
Except he doesn't tell me to talk to his hand.

Summertime

I really need to empty my phone storage. I have tons of pictures of all sorts of things.

Like Hailey and Lily took swim lessons. Hailey already knows how to swim but the pool won't let her skip until she at least went into the level 1 class. So Lily learned how to float on her back, blow bubbles, open her eyes under water, and fart underwater without people knowing. That's my girl!
Ducati on the other hand did not do classes but had to come anyways.

She oftener joked that she's the only kid who isn't in the pool. Poor girl. She needs to be 6 to join but we managed to have fun while her sisters had class.
I got a new nephew, Xavier. Cutie!

The girls met Elsa. They were excited she shops at Smiths too.

I've become one of "those" pet owners. I try to sneak my bunnies with me everywhere I go. They're pocketsize for a reason.

My block is the luckiest place around. The double rainbow told me so.

Semicolon

"a semicolon is used when an author could've chosen to end their sentence, but chose not to. "

Coming from a background filled with abuse of all sorts I allowed myself depression, addictions, and toxic cycles to dwell in me. But no more!

The author is me and the sentence is my life.
I chose love.
I chose happiness.
I chose JesusChrist
I chose the atonement.
No more hiding. No more fake smiles. Just all me now. Now It's my turn to write and this story ain't over.

Look up

I seen this picture and just had stop and let it absorb inside me.

I look up to the stars or see a contrasting shadow on a mountainside or see a flower blooming so perfectly without the help of any gardener and it's absolutely amazing to me. I have to acknowledge how God is truly an artist and I'm so thankful he shares his creations with me.

Dear Lily,

My dear Lily,

There are times when you steal my phone and take 114 selfies.

I love that your a young lady with many faces. Your confidence shines in each photo.
I love your silly side. Your serious side. Your oh-so-fashionable side. Your funny side. Your sweet, gentle side.
I pray you learn to love all sides of yourself. Heavenly Father made you perfect with every freaky flaw and all (monster high quote.... Which you love that show right now)
Thank you for reminding me 114 how lucky I am to have you in my life.
Love Mommy

Fairy Forest

Mike was helping someone out in Kamas so since it's an hour away he asked me if  I'd like to come with him. So after looking around to see what our girls and I can do while he's working I agreed to come with.

I read there is a Fairy Forest that there's tons of fairy houses all occupied by magical fairies. :) But to show your appreciation to the fairies for allowing you inside their village you show bring a gift.
So Mike had a stop at a hardware store for paint and a few other supplies. So while he was working the girls and I went exploring around a construction site looking for things we could recycle into something magical.
We found rocks to make houses.  sticks for roofs. Sand to add pixie dust too. Metal screws and washers to make a windchimes. It took us a few hours to clean and construct our creations so this gave Mike a good while to work.

After our houses were done Mike took a break and drove up to their not-so- secret fairy village. Up to Mirror Lake, park at mile marker 17, hike to the right, cross the campsite road, cross a river of rocks    ( literally no water only a stream of rocks) then we had to take another right and cross over a dropped log. Once we crossed the rock river and took that right we could see the fairy houses.
They were everywhere. Some fairies kept their houses simple and some are pretty fancy with tea sets and pools.
Ducati enjoyed looking inside each house to see if there are any fairies inside.
Flying like fairies
Some of our favorites. A fairy temple. 2. Setup'a with hashtags that I IG.

Some fairies are ninja turtle fans.
Some are best friends with smurfs.
But here's out additions. Left to right: Angie's, Ducati's, then Lily's.
Lily made a castle with a bridge to the top.
Cati made a bed with a pink pixie dust pussywillow lantern.
And I was suppose to make a boy fairy house but it's sort if hard when Lily and cati picked out pink, orange, white and another pink paint. So my house is white with an orange polka dotted roof.

It was fun to walk around and see everything. When I read about the fairy forest it only was a small patch in the woods but when we went it spanned maybe a 1/2 a mile. It just adds to the magic.
