Keepsakes

I had this idea for the kids to each make Ducati a onesis. I figured it would be a nice gesture for him or her to wear at the hospital.

So here's the outcome....

Lily made her's one colored onesis. And since we're not telling the gender until later I colored the picture but you can still see the design... I admit I helped Lily a little

But she enjoyed it....
Here's Hailey's... she wanted it to look really pretty

Mason really got into it...he was so focused on making it look not scary for his baby sibling

(Sorry I can't show the back or it might give the gender away)

Also, Mike is making me a nursery. I will show when it's complete. He's been working on it for about 3 weeks now. He's turning a side of our big master bedroom into Ducati's Corner. It looks really awesome so far. But I wanted to help out with the decorations so I had the kids make these hand print painting for the wall. I painted 4 canvases but since there is only 3 kids available when Ducati comes the last will be painted.
But here's a sneak peek of my nursery...

MASON'S
LILY'S
HAILEY'S

They look great and are hanging above the crib right now. But like I said when the nursery is done I'll post a pic ASAP.

Harvest Fest

After everyone being sick we were finally able to have a family fun night. So we went to the Harvest Fall Fest at.....

When we first got there we seen a horse drawn carriage that taxi's you around the farm.

We took full advantage of that. Our first stop was the spooky train.

Mason being the strong independent type sat up front by the conductor. He likes being the leader of things.

Hailey wanted to sit in the haunted jail. Lily and I sat in the middle and just enjoyed the ride. She kept giggling while the ride went.

Afterwards the kids went on pony rides. Lily was of course too small for a ride but that didn't stop Hailey and Mason from getting their turn.

After this we went to the Blackout Maze.
Actually Hailey and Mike went in....Mason, Lily and I stayed outside. We're too smart to go in a pitch black maze. It turns out that Mike had to open his cell phone so Hailey could see. She was getting scared.

Who can resist a Hay Jump? We can't!!!!
Yup... even Lily had a jump assist.

Next was the corn maze..... all I have to say is "NEVER AGAIN!!!!!"
The first 20 minutes was fun...then the next 20 minutes was annoying since we got lost.....

the next 10 minutes were frustrating since we were lost and hungry.... so I grabbed some corn from the stalks and gave it to the kids.....but the last 10 minutes we couldn't help but laugh since we were still lost. But Mike was determined to get us out of there without cheating....and he did. (but see the first picture -there's still daylight when I took the photo )

But after our somewhat mixed emotion corn maze Mike and the kids hit the super slide. Which to my understanding went super fast that the kids would knock down Mike when he tried to catch them at the bottom.
After the slide we caught a ride on the carriage again and headed back home. This was a night we really deserved.

Stay-cation

Mike and I went to Park City for a stay-cation. We went to one of those timeshare presentations were in exchange for listening to them try to sell you a timeshare they'll give you a free night stay at their resort. So we took advantage of the free night.
Here's our room at the WestGate
the room was kinda small...

the ceiling above the toilet had a leak....
the complementary robes...(if they accidentally got in our overnight bag we would be charged $150 of each) but they were still very comforty...
But the view from our room was great and FREE..
Entertainment:
Steam Room....
Adult Only Pool with waterfall....

Jacuzzi....

Yes...we played pool at a 5 star resort... it was super fun

Food:
midnight munchies....
Breakfast at The Cabin....

Super yummy...
After our 2 hour presentation on timeshare we still had some time to spare before we needed to get back to the valley so we headed to Park City Main Street. But we seen the Farmer's Market and decided to stop. It was a total blast there!
There was so much to see and do:
Crazy lady dancing on stilts...

Matching "One Love" leather bracelets
Mike got me a silk headband (you can kinda see it) and we listened to some live music, went into the most beautiful porter potty's we ever laid eyes on, ate some buffalo wings at Doolan's.

and really enjoyed our time together.

Sick Days

I just want to show how Mike takes care of me when I have a cold.

After running out to the store for come C-boost drinks and medicine for me he came home bearing gifts for me. He sure knows the way to this girls heart. Vampires! So sweet...

Cutie

Hailey got her fish! I know it's small beans to some people but we're so proud of her. She saved for 2 weeks every penny she had and was able to go buy her gold tail fish. After we came home and put her fish she named, Cutie, into it's own tank (mostly since we didn't want our turtle to have a snack when we weren't looking) she just talked to it for about 30 minutes. It was adorable!

Preschool Princess

Hailey started preschool today. Yeah for BIG GIRLS!!!

Hailey was so excited this morning to see her teacher and meet her class friends and to actually start doing homework. She got herself dress, fed, backpack ready and buckled into her car seat before 10 minutes before we needed to leave. She just excitedly waited in the car.

When I dropped her off -I got no hug, no kiss...just "Bye mom. Let me do it by myself." It's a bittersweet feeling having independent kids.
But when Mike and I picked her up she was excited to tell us all about her first day. Of course we chatted over a nice happy meal. Something little to make this big day even more special.

Our little Hailey is now a student.
