Treehouse Museum

We all went to The Treehouse Museum in Ogden today. I've been wanting to go here for a while but the cost has put a stop on that idea before. But we lucked out since it was toddler time and that made it SUPER CHEAP for us to get in.

When we first walked in we seen this really cool firetruck that has the fireman gear for the kids to dress up in. So our kids jumped on that.

But after this it turned to complete chaos of Mason and Hailey wanting to go to different places. So try to keep up...

We first went to a dinosaur art center where you can draw your own dinosaur from stencils or a light tracer. Then we threw army parachute men over the ledge of the treehouse that's inside the museum to see who could land on the "X". Hailey won that challenge.

Then we headed to a medieval room.

We were only able to play here for a few minutes since this is where they held the toddler story/song time. But Hailey got to dress up as a wizard. She vetoed wanting to be a princess. And she made this stain glass sticker window. Mason played with a knight and dragon Lego set.

After here we went into a doll room.

Yes...Mason played with dolls and this doll house. I know-I'm so going to use this as a blackmail picture when he starts dating. The girls and I played with the magnetic dress up dolls. After playing here for a little bit we went into the Artist Corner where we made wind stocks.
This is so Mason's area.....he was so focused during his art project. He didn't want to fold his picture up cuz he thought that it would mess it up so his smile is pretty fake. But he drew the Wizard of Oz scene...Mason style (definition: all the characters were mean)Lily on the other hand got a little help from mom. I traced both her hands, her left foot, dated it. But see that pink/red paper? She was eating that so Mike thought it would be memorable to attach it to her picture.

Hailey was the only one that followed the instruction on making the wind stocks patriot.

She was very proud of hers.

Next stop was the Oval Office.

Oh....you didn't know Mike was tight with Obama? Well Mike's trying to pull some strings so this season the Detroit Lions will win the Super Bowl. Good Luck babe. However if Mason were President of the United States he would find a way for dinosaurs to come back alive. Q: "Lily-if you were President what would you do?" Her answer:"Wait-can I still poop in my pants? If not...I quit!"Hailey on the other hand took her job very seriously. If she was President she would make a law demanding chocolate milk and cookies be the new breakfast... "Where's my milk?!?!" See our kids are very proud to be Americans.... Well most of our kids-Lily must be a liberal.

And if Hailey can't be a photographer, President, soldier or a wizard then I have that hope that she'll be a doctor.Lily on the other hand might go Amish.

Our next stop was a music room. This room must be well insulated since we couldn't really hear anything until we entered this room. There is instruments from all around the world in there that the kids can play with.

"My bum is on a drum" says Lily. The kids really liked this room especially the several different xylophones on the wall.

After this really quiet room I needed a break so the kids went into a play land that's filled with logs, Lego's, and other kids toy stuff.

Then after our little break we headed to play a states game where a computer either asks you an easy or difficult question about the United States of America. We tried a few questions and since Mason didn't know the answers we skipped on. But mental note for me... I need to teach him that.

We went down the tree house into an area where there are stories from around the world. And each story has a scene background to put you in the mood.

I honestly forgot all of this story but I do remember each kid is to make a wish to the stars every year for it to come true. So the kids grabbed a post-it and put there wish on the wall.
And we got to make feather necklaces. Yeah!!!

Finally after taking a quick look at some fish we headed to our final destination. The wood toy room. The kids played here for a few minutes with cars and planes.
We would of stood at the museum much much longer but we only had a 2 hour parking spot and we were getting hungry. But for the $10 we paid we sure got our money's worth.
